On Sunday we hosted an event at 3 MNKYS bar the aim was to connect creatives, business leaders and people in the local authorities. We had various things going on throughout the night including a few very interesting talks, the first was from Nathan Geering the theatre production director who started the Rationale Theatre company in Sheffield. Nathan had recently looked into the links between Hip hop and visual Impairment. He spoke about his findings and what the music, dance and theatre industry could do to appeal to people with Visual impairments. He actually explained that 2 million people in the UK suffer from a visual impairment, that's 1 in 30 people, therefore we as artists should do more to appeal to them. Next we heard from Andrea Wallen a representer for Kangen water. Kangen water is water which has been purified, some studies have actually show that it is actually a lot healthier for you. Andrea told us a personal story which had actually led to her supporting Kangen water.

We then heard a talk from Annalisa Toccara, the founder of 'Our Mel'/ Melanin fest. This is a social enterprise dedicated and passionate about discovering black identity, black history and also identifying what it means to be person of colour in todays society. We finished the night with a live beat making performance from producer Triple B and a live performance from our very own singer/song writer Rae Stewart. A real showcase of their musical talents and a fun live performance for everyone to watch. We were also graced with some of the best food in town from Jigga's Flavourlicious and it was completely free!
The event was a success and allowed business owners to talk and build important connections, and also allowed creatives to share and gain knowledge.
